Standardized testing (ACT and SAT) revolve around problem solving and many parents wonder why their students stink at this type of testing. If a college's admissions policy indicates that they accept scores from either test, you can be certain that the school does not favor one over the other. Both the SAT and ACT have an option to cancel scores if the test didnt go well, for instance if the student filled out the answer sheet incorrectly or didnt finish the exam. If a school’s lowest accepted score is a 34 on the ACT or a 1490 on the SAT, those two scores are about equivalent for that school.
